Adapted from Hershey website’s “Kisses Chocolate Chip Cookies” recipe
1 cup miniature semi-sweet chocolate chips
1/3 cup packed light brown sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup (2 sticks) butter, softened
1/3 cup granulated sugar
48 chocolate kisses
1.) Heat oven to 375°F. Remove wrappers from chocolates.
2.) Beat butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar and vanilla in large bowl until well blended. Stir in eggs.
3.) Add flour to butter mixture; blend until smooth.
4.) Stir in mini chocolate chips.
5.) Fashion a small ball of the cookie dough around each chocolate kiss. Make sure that the dough completely covers the chocolate kiss.
6.) Shape the dough into a ball. Place the cookies on an ungreased baking sheet.
7.) Bake 10-12 minutes or until set. Cool slightly; remove from cookie sheet to wire rack. Cool completely.
